Binyagan + Wedding + Baguio-Abra-Vigan + Clan Reunion... what more could you ask for?

Last week was like the best week of 2009… so far. Hehehe… We’re not even halfway 2009, so I couldn’t say if it’s really the best.  Anyway, last week was the week wherein my cousin/”older sister” got married (yes, she’s finally married!) and it also has the weekend where we went to Baguio, Abra and Vigan (sorry to say, no pasalubong for those people who knew I was going to Baguio… we were in a rush).

So as I’ve said before, I totally ditched my Thursday classes to give way for the wedding. I was really nervous about not showing up on any of my classes that day because I’m not the ditching type. I’m not coming clean that I’ve never ditched in my whole college life. I may have ditched once or twice (ok, that was an understatement), but that was just on classes that I’m willing to give up for more important matters, particularly for some do-or-die/major requirements that I’m cramming.

Dang, I never imagined that ditching classes would be so much fun! I returned to Manila on Wednesday and didn’t return to school after the wedding because Friday was, luckily, Laguna Day… meaning NO CLASSES. And there’s the plan of leaving Manila for Baguio. So we stayed over the hotel where my relatives are staying in and went to Baguio the afternoon of the following day.

Since I had a very long week, particularly the weekend, I’m just going to post pictures and let the pictures speak for themselves. Brace yourself! Here are my escapades during the first week of my senior year ---escapades that are not even connected to acads. LOL.

Oh, I forgot. Before the first week of classes started, we attended the Christening of my inaanak, my cousin’s son, Jrey Sean. This was taken before the actual Christening. The four people on my left side are my relatives fresh from the US (including the tall Mexican guy wearing shades). From left: Kaizze, me, Auntie Eden, Sam (my cousin), Kuya Diego (my cousin’s husband), Ate Tin (my cousin, Kuya Diego’s wife)

The Buenconsejo cousins… not even ¼ of the clan… hahaha! Don’t ask how many we are though. Hindi ko rin alam eh. We’re a HUGE family, wahaha!

With my 6th godson, Jrey :D

Bridesmaids and Junior Bridesmaids during the wedding, hehe…

The Bride/”Older Sister” and the Groom… Argh… Every time I see this photo, I feel like crying…

Mi familia :) Ok, just don’t look closely at my face because my makeup retouching skills suck… I missed some on my forehead. Haha!

The Buenconsejo cousins… again with the signature wacky portrait… still not the whole clan, sorry. Well, I’m also dying of wishing that we’ll have a group pic of the whole clan. I’m wondering when will that time come… or will it ever come. It’s hard to get the whole family in one occasion due to distance barriers and financial matters.

The Buenconsejos ROCK!

Sam, Gabe and Kaizze @ Starbucks, Camp John Hay…

My mom’s siblings. Haha, walang ligtas

Uncle Rey and the lovebirds, Ate Tin and Kuya Diego

Bonding time for the Benig siblings (Ate Ayen, Kuya Karlo and Sam) and the newest member in the family, Kuya Chris (in blue)

This branch of Starbucks Coffee in the Philippines has the best architecture. The homey feeling is exceptional :) Kung pwede lang tumira dun, nagpaiwan na ako. Lol.

At the Philippine Military Academy… Yep, the teddy bear my sister is holding is Totoy. Yes, Totoy and Tutay were in Baguio.

In front of the Lopez Hall of Leaders, PMA with “Older Sister”

At Mine’s View Park ;)

Still at Mine’s View Park

At the Mansion

PUSIT is La-la-love! Hahaha! Grabe, sarap ng inihaw na pusit!

Would you believe it, we went roller skating?! My sister and I sucked… we’re better on ice.

At Rose Bowl, Baguio. Sarap ng pagkain, GRABE! Winner yung chopsuey at pancit nila… Delicioso!

At Abra, with Kuya Chris’ family :) Sarap din ng pagkain dito. ‘Di naming makalimutan yung kambing na maasim-asim na kinain namin… pati yung papaitan at longganisa.

In front of the guest house (pero di kami d’yan natulog, hehe) with Kuya Chris’ grandmother and the rest of his family

First stop at Vigan, Ilocos Sur. I forgot the name of this church… pero napuntahan ko na rin ‘to nung HUM2 field trip noong NF pa ako.  Haha, winner lang yung pose ni Kuya Loy (my cousin, the guy in the center with the shades on top of his head) eh… parang candid na ewan.

On top of the bell tower (the same bell tower found at the background of the previous pic)… kami lang nila Uncle Rey, Diego (the Mexican husband of my cousin) at ng kapatid ko ang naglakas loob na umakyat sa pinakataas nung tower.

At Chavit Singson’s Baluarte…

Mr. Chavit Singson, the birthday celebrant, himself

Pony ride with my Auntie Ambie :) Weeeeee!

With a runaway ostrich… Sam looks freaked out, haha!

Yeah, Sam didn’t just looked a bit freaked out on the previous pic. He’s actually freaking out… and so am I.

At the Hidden Garden, while waiting for the special Vigan empanada to be served

with Kuya Karlo, Kaizze and Sam (not in the photo though because he took the pic) inside the Kalesa. Taken during the ride :)

VIGAN is <3

Viva la Vigan!!! Weeee!

SUPER LAYO! Oh well, masarap namang maglaboy eh. Di kaya ako nakalaboy nung summer... Ikaw kasi nakapag-beach hopping eh. hahaha!

Thanks. God bless din! :)

oo nga eh... and you'll probably be surprised with my next blog entry... that's coming soon, pero hindi pa ngayon. photoblog din siya... and my photoblogs will definitely serve as testimonies on why I'm stuck with a messy thesis proposal that needs to be edited BIG TIME. sana grumaduate on time. hahaha!
